Holiday Message 2009
~THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK~
“Champions are champions not because they do anything extraordinary but because they do the ordinary things better than anyone else.”
Dear Viewers,
The holiday season and the New Year are quickly approaching us and we will be faced with new opportunities and challenges. I encourage you not to wait to make New Year’s resolutions but be proactive and carve out your blue print for success now or commit to continuing or bringing closure to something you didn’t complete in 2009.
In the words of Tony Dungee, “Winning the Super Bowl is not the ultimate victory. And once again, just to make certain, we’re on the same page; it’s not all about football. It’s about the journey –mine and yours – and the lives we touch, the legacy we leave, and the world we can change for the better.”
It has often been said and it continues to be true that success is a journey, not a destination. While you are on your journey, you must understand and know what it is going to take to become successful. For starters, it will take hard work, determination, and of course the support of family and friends, without a doubt. These are all a part of it, but what’s most important is your ability to utilize your imagination to tap into your inner reserve, the source of all achievement.
As we prepare to enter 2010, our decisions to be successful have the unequalled power to shape our lives one day at a time. We can continue to drift through life, bouncing like a leaf floating on a breeze, at the mercy of where it takes us. Or, we can anchor our roots in the fertile soil of intelligent preparation.
Realizing that every day is a day of Thanksgiving, let’s get excited about life and remember to always demonstrate an attitude of gratitude. Please enjoy the motivational vitamins listed here:
“If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else.”
– Booker T. Washington
“People with dreams know no poverty. Each of us is as rich as our dreams.
– Benjamin E. Mays
“You must overcome any obstacles and achieve your goals if you want to accelerate your success.
– Jerry O. Pittman
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”
– John Quincy Adams
Wishing you a blessed holiday season
and a New Year filled with SUCCESS!!!!!
Jerry O. Pittman

Unlike most books on existential quips or man-kind’s purpose, her poetry does not lead the reader to conclusions on individual purpose; simply put, Soul of a Poet examines free-thought and spirituality wherever it appears.
About the Book
All of us will experience a time of brokenness. While most may see it as a symbol of weakness, Christ values it as a time of submission.
Once we understand that our lives are not our own, we can truly walk in grace and confidence that our Heavenly Father desires.
My breaking point has allowed me to write these poems from the innermost parts of my heart and soul.
Come discover what’s inside the authenticity of my spirit!
